Dale Chenoweth giving my Project 540 block the once (or twice over) with the magnaflux equipment (above) to make sure the block is crack-free.

Dale is enlarging the stock oil galley (right) to improve oil flow to the bearings. One of many operations they take the time to do.

This shows the BSR aluminum main cap and how much material can be machined out to get the main cap alignment perfect. Not a job for someone you don't trust or doesn't have state-of-the-art equipment.

What makes this an outstanding value is all the machine work is done with CNC (computer controlled) equipment. Cylinder bores are perfectly round and parallel; lifter bores are exactly the right size and angle. The entire block becomes geometrically correct. That is what we all hope our favorite machine shop can do, but can they?

One more important thing: They did not do this block prep for me for free. I was just this impressed with their entire operation. That is why I wanted to feature their workmanship and their shop.

No detail is too small. Here the oil pump mounting pad is machined flat make sure there are no pressure leaks on the oil pump.

This is the main cap girdle and the hardware that comes in the Chenoweth Main Girdle Kit. Top notch quality throughout. Billet cold rolled steel and ARP fasteners.
