NEW 2007 PETTY #43 COLORS
Behind the locks at NASCAR shops – that’s us! Here are a few images of the new 2007 paint scheme for the Petty Enterprises #43 driven by Bobby Labonte, complete with various sponsor placements. Cheerios gets top billing, with Bugles and Hamburger Helper on the sides. Kind of slick how they put the 43 inside the big red spoon to accent it. Still has some Petty blue for the faithful. MOPAR SPRINT & MIDGET CLASSIC HELD DURING PRI SHOW
The 2nd Annual Mopar/PRI Spring & Midget Classic will take place Friday, Dec. 15 at Orlando (FL) Speedworld. The race runs in conjunction with the PRI Trade Show, which will be at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Dec. 14-16, 2006. The event will feature 40-lap feature races for both sprint cars and midgets. Bill Simpson’s Impact Racing, a manufacturer of driver safety gear, is offering a $50,000 bonus award if any driver can win both the sprint and midget features.
In addition, Nitto Tire will sponsor an exhibition of drifting. Expanded grandstand seating and a new food court are being added to the track, which had a standing-room only crowd of 8,000 for last year’s inaugural event. For more information go to www.sprintandmidgetclassic.com. [10/25/06]
