RK Motors Charlotte, a leading retailer of investment-grade classic, collector and high performance cars, has announced the newest addition to its state-of-the-art, 250-vehicle showroom in Charlotte, N.C. – an ultra-rare, fully documented, 1971 Plymouth HEMI ‘Cuda. Not only does this all-original, survivor Mopar display a mere 2,010 miles on its odometer, it’s also the highest option HEMI ‘Cuda known to exist.
The Rallye Red on black ‘Cuda was ordered new from Ed Owens Plymouth by RJ Reynolds Tobacco heir Zach “Dr. Zacho” Reynolds, and looks just as it did when it rolled off Dodge Main’s assembly line in February 1971.
Under the car’s hood an untouched 426 HEMI, which is original all the way down to its factory fluids, sends power to an original, untouched A727 Torqueflite three-speed transmission. That transmission spins an original, untouched Dana 60 rear end which, in addition to housing an original Sure Grip differential and factory 4:10 gears, still wears a legible factory paper strap.
