Once the raw forging is cool it goes to the machining line. Conrad and Maggie’s daughter Katie operates the machining station that begins the process.

After the valve itself is machined and sized it goes to another machining area where the stem is cut to the desired length and the valves get their finish machining.

Once the machining is done the tolerances get checked. Here Conrad is checking that the machining is within exacting tolerances.
At Victory they make titanium valves for many applications, including use in a high-performance, big block drag motor, or titanium, ultra lightweight black valves for a very high revving small block. Victory also makes valves for nitro applications out of a steel known as Inconel. Inconel is a heat resistant steel developed by the Air Force for the experimental XD-15 aircraft that flew over at 4500 mph!
