CHASSIS
Doc’s Custom & Collision (Lehigh Acres, FL) ripped out all of the old suspension and began the replacement process with a leaf spring relocation kit (to make room for the big rear tires), PST leaf springs, and air shocks. The front got a stock rebuild, also with PST parts, including heavy-duty torsion bars and a G-Max anti-sway bar.

WHEELS AND BRAKES
Master Power to the rescue here, 11.0-inch discs in front correspond with MP spindles. The rear is augmented by 11.2-inch discs, lending a nice, modern ambience to this ‘60s geezer. What about those wheels? Rey wouldn’t do his car without those iconic Americans--17x7 and 18x10 Torq-Thrust II’s carrying 215/45 and 275/35 rubber.

INSIDE
It’s black, but best of all, it’s original. Literally everything inside was removed, cleaned, and re-installed over freshly painted surfaces.

BODY
Fireball Orange paint was applied by Doc’s Custom over a body that was stripped to the metal and rubbed hard. Doc’s finished up with clear coat and applied the stripes in their original plane.
PERFORMANCE
No dyno test, but Rey estimates 375hp at 5,000 revs. Best quarter-mile time for Rey’s red rider is 12.75 at 105.
