A peek under the front end shows that front wheel brakes evidently weren’t part of the package for these cars. Probably another weight saving measure to lighten the front end.

Since the car had no front brakes it was a good idea to add a parachute to slow down these 3,000-lb. behemoths after a full pass.

Looks like they removed an access panel on the splash pan to run the chassis bar to the front of the car.

Check out the interior that has just the bare minimum of equipment. There was a tach and, if you look closely, a couple of gauges to the right of that. Note that there are no provisions for a radio or heater and no window crank. A real factory race car.
