Adam Blankenship, whose father David is a long-time Mopar fan, had this real ’70 Cuda 383 on hand, with some mild hop-ups (Dad kept all of the original parts). Adam is 17 years old; dad bought the car back in 1995, before the prices went berserko.

Cars like this 1970 ‘cuda were also part of the bracket program; unfortunately, thunderstorms in the afternoon kept it from being completed and Steve Earwood split the prize money among the remaining drivers.

As in years past, this Mopar event in the Carolinas brought out some great show cars, including this ’66 Belvedere with a 440 and Demon SixShooter carb layout. This is a replacement for the popular Holley-style original and puts more shine under the hood.
