Last year this ’69 Cuda by Troy Trepanier and George Poteet blew us all away when it grabbed a record at 255.412 with a 178” Mopar for banger and a big turbo. This year Lady Luck turned her back and the car broke. We’ll see ‘em again without a doubt.

Car 428 is a rear engined, heavily modified ‘27 Ford with a blown 370” Chrysler running on fuel. Hailing from Prescott, Arizona, driver/owner Chauvin Emmons and crew chief Rich Roberts struggled mightily to hit a top speed of 227.363 after enduring two spins! I am sure this will not be the last we see or hear from this crew.
