Veteran racer Bunny Burkett’s new ’06 Avenger TAFC sports a new paint scheme. She qualified with a 5.931/240.34, but was eliminated in the first round.
Another Avenger TAFC. This one is David Ray’s “Follow A Dream.” He won the Division 1 points race at Atco Raceway the preceding week. In the first round at E-Town he was out first, but spun the tires a bit and was caught by Mickey Ferro.

| Husband and wife, Jay and Shelly Payne, sport almost matching Valvoline-sponsored Pro Mods. Jay’s is an ‘05 Dodge Stratus, while Shelly is in a (shudder) ’67 Camaro. They met in the second round. Shelly had the holeshot advantage, but Jay ran the quickest pass of the round at 5.978/242.06 to give the win to the correct automaker. Jay made it to the final round, but unfortunately red-lit away the win. |
Jack Beckman’s Charger was the only Mopar to make it to the second round of Funny Car eliminations. He was defeated by eventual FC winner, Tommy Johnson Jr.
