Mo’ Mopars

t wasn’t the best race of the season for the Mopar Nitro Funny Cars or Pro Stocks at Las Vegas. In fact, they pretty much came up snake eyes. However, we’re always partial to cars that you can actually identify as Mopar, so here’s a look at some SS/AH, Pro Mod, and Alcohol Funny cars.

Rick Houser in the DeFrank & Sons ’68 ‘Cuda goes against John Rains in a ’68 Dart in qualifying.

Dave Raybourn’s ’”Mean Fish” 68 Cuda couldn’t hold off Ryan McClanahan’s Chevy Cobalt in Round 3. McClanahan went on to win the event.

Hemi guru Ray Barton built the 427 Chrysler in this ’68 ‘Cuda for Joe Faherty of Apple Valley, Calif. Faherty’s 9.111 in qualifying didn’t make the field.
