 DRO photographer James Drew was at the last Goodguys sanctioned (we think) Bakersfield Fuel and Gas Championships and while there shot a few Mopar competitors for us. The only Mopar-bodied car that won an Eliminator was Lee Jenning’s gorgeous, nitro-hemi equipped ’71 ‘Cuda. Jennings ran under siz-seconds almost every lap during the weekend and defeated Dennis LaCharte’s ’68 ‘Vette (also hemi-powered) in the final of Nostalgia Funny Car.
