FAMILY PHOTOS

I was reading on this site that pictures were taken at Chrysler Carlisle of Ed Miller and Kip Guenther's ‘65 Plymouth in front of the dealership display. I was curious if there was a way to get copies of any of them.  Kip Guenther was my uncle and this was the car that I heard my family talk about for years but wasn't alive when they still owned the car. I was lucky enough to be at the show to see the car but would love to be able to get some of the pictures that were described if that’s at all possible. Let me know if there is any way or who I need to contact to buy them. Thanks for the help.

MORE REVELL INFO AND A TRIP DOWN MEMBER LANE

Hi Steve, I'm Fuzzy McKnight, the guy you that you first saw the built Revell slant six built on my table at the Mopar Nationals swap meet (I can still see the look on your face when you saw it) and later showed a pic in the Petersen mag you were writing for at the time. Thanks for the pic in the mag, I enjoyed it.

You may not realize it but you have the battery box, it’s in the round end of the engine stand. It takes 2 C-cells, I think (been awhile since I've messed with mine) and the switch is the round knurled knob on the drivers side of the motor. You may be missing the wiring and the contacts, which came in their own little packages in the kits. I still have the one you saw plus another 1961 un-built and an even more rare 1964 see-through kit, un-built. Seems to me the ‘64 kits are marked for the 1964 World’s Fair. I will try to run across the See-Thru version during the move and try to figure out how to send you a pic of it. I don't think I've sold it, but maybe, I've bought and sold quite a few kits over the years and still have 250 or so.

Did you come to the Mopar Nationals? I live 9 miles away, bracket race at National Trail on points weekends, and didn't get the time to come over and race. Even though I've won the class I was racin' in 3 times (twice w/ a ‘68 Charger R/T 440 that I still have and once w/a ‘79 Aspen). Still can't get the extra time.

You may be interested in this, in the off season I race at Mopar Raceway (moparraceway.com). This is a 1/24 scale 1/8 mile drag race slot car track. We get well over 200+ entries a week almost every car is a kit based body (or resin), including a real strong super stock AA Hemi class for Darts and ‘Cudas only. Off brands like Chevys, Ford, etc. are allowed, but it's called Mopar Raceway because the owner is a Mopar head (go figure).

MORE MODEL INFO

With regards to your article on the Revell Slant six by Steve Magnante. I just want to point out that Revell produced a later version that was see through (clear plastic block), circa 1963/64. I own both the early version and the later version and will be happy to provide you with photos. The See-Thru is updated with the details that Mr. Weertman mentioned in the article.
Both my engines work.

I also have the info booklet written by Mr. Weertman that was supplied with the engine. By the way there was no battery box, the engine uses two C cells and those are placed in the cylindrical portion of the base... one side is the switch the other side opens up to allow insertion of the batteries. I enjoyed the article you wrote.
Regards.
